Orlando Blanco successfully defended a serious ambulance crash case resulting in critical injuries to the Plaintiff. The case involved a “lights and sirens” emergency response to a cardiac arrest in Monroe Michigan, As the ambulance was traveling to the emergency, Plaintiff’s vehicle made a left hand turn in her place of business causing a serious collision with the ambulance. Orlando Blanco successfully argued that the Defendant Ambulance provider was entitled to summary disposition under the immunity provided to EMS agencies under Michigan’s Emergency Medical Services Act (EMSA). The case is currently on appeal to the Michigan Court of Appeals.
