On October 4, 2022, our Founding Managing Partner, Orlando L. Blanco, was an invited guest speaker at the Fall Meeting of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management, presenting on the subject of “EMS Transportation Issues.”

Mr. Blanco’s presentation addressed the principal risks associated with EMS transportation, including lights and sirens, emergency response, behavioral health transports and non-emergency transports, among other EMS patient transports. Mr. Blanco also addressed recent changes to the legal protections available to EMS providers, as well as strategies for addressing risk management in EMS.
